On 17th September 2020 a Kickstarter crowdfunding campaign was launched to raise money to publish my illustrated lockdown diary where I drew my everyday life, every single day for 151 days throughout lockdown…

By the close of the last day the campaign had raised over 175% of the target goal, and 500 limited edition copies of the Diary were published.

The Diary is now sold out.

Comments & reviews about The Diary of an Artist in Lockdown

“The Diary of an Artist in Lockdown is an exquisitely curated collection of delightful artwork and memories of time in lockdown during a global pandemic. It’s beautifully put together, with high quality production and it has so much attention to detail, even in how it was packaged. It feels like you’re handling the original copy. It will definitely be something to treasure for years to come. I supported the campaign on Kickstarter and was so delighted to see it smash its target. As a supporter, I was kept up to date with all aspects of the project which I really appreciated and it was an honour to be a small part of helping this project come to fruition.” Holly

“Dearest Chrissie - it is utterly gorgeous. I love the feel, look and the background of the pages and… and… everything about it. You should be bursting with pride at your incredible achievement. The postcards are gorgeous too.” Vick

“The diaries arrived today! Thank you so much - even more beautiful and thoughtful than I imagined. A positive keepsake of one of the most momentous times.” Rachel

“What a masterpiece!” Susie

“It is so beautifully produced that I keep on being afraid that I will smudge the pencil with my fingers!” Mary

“My copy actually arrived this afternoon! WOW. Utterly blown away in the best possible meaning. It really does feel like I'm paging through your journal...the reproduction of your lettering and drawings/paintings is incredibly vivid. Just lost in the beauty and loving how a narrative slowly emerges ... thank you.” Deborah

“Absolutely lovvvvvvve it! Such a beautiful object.” Theresa

““I opened my parcel this morning and I can’t quite believe just how fabulous your book is.  I knew it would be good but it’s just perfect.  The size, the reproduction of the journal pages, everything, everything, everything is just glorious.  It’s such a beautiful quality - from it’s size and heft, and the lovely feel of the paper.” Carol

“We have just received the book. I knew it was going to be amazing but it has exceeded my expectations by a mile!!! Your attention to detail is second to none .” Josune

“I could hardly bear to open the beautiful packaging.. and then couldn’t stop reading. I love its fatness and the greyish pages, as well as the contents… I love the complete and humorous mix of domestic and personal and professional.” Caroline

“This diary is unlike any other I have read. Each day is spread across two pages and there are not many words on each, but all are beautifully hand lettered and accompanied by a few small pictures, each delightfully drawn and watercoloured. So I like to pore over every day's work, slowly enjoying the talent displayed. Gradually, as her days pass, the author allows you see a little bit more of her personality and how the joys, frustrations, successes and sorrows in lockdown affect her. You slowly feel you're getting to know what makes her tick and look forward to each glimpse. If, like me, you don't have her talents, you feel a bit ashamed of how little you did during those weeks and months of boredom and are even more impressed by the resilience of creative artists.” Tom
